mission statement

SEF Grants

SEF has contributed over $3 million in grant money supporting hundreds of programs for teachers and the district. In the 2009/2010 school year, thanks to the continuing support of our Members and Partners, we approved 77 grants totaling over $410,000 which positively impacted students at the two primary centers, all five elementary schools, the Middle School and the High School. Our grant process is very disciplined. The Grants Committee screens every grant request diligently, works closely with the Superintendent’s office to ensure that grants are consistent with district objectives, and requires the approval of the full SEF Board of Trustees. Grant proposals are welcome from Summit public school teachers, administrators, parents, Summit organizations or town residents who are working with a Summit Public School faculty member. To find out more about the application process or to download one of our applications, please visit the How To Apply page.
